Another rugby post

Hello again,
(Still finding it hard to think of topics to blog about, so heres another rugby post!)

With the club rugby season is starting in canberra, i find myself sitting at home nursing an extremely frustrating and very slow healing metacarpal fracture, thankfully although i am unable to train and play yet i can still get my rugby fix watching the Brumbies take on the Warratahs at canberra stadium even if it's just watching it on T.V because i was to lazy to organise tickets.

RESULT: Brumbies 35 Warratahs 6

A great result on paper however the victory was blemished by a possible ACL injury to star flanker David Pocock, if the prognosis is as suspected this is a big blow not just to ACT rugby but Australian rugby as a whole.

However this unfortunate incident made it possible for George Smith to make his long awaited return to canberra stadium earlier than expected, I thought he had a significant impact on the game for a player who has been absent from the pace and physical demands of super 15 rugby for an extended period of time, his work at the breakdown was impressive and he looked surprisingly solid in defence, all in all it was a good (without being spectacular) performance by the ex wallaby flanker.
Of course there are now some hailing smith as a saviour for the wallabies in the up coming lions tour, an interesting prospect however it doesn't look realistic in the eyes of the coach Robbie Deans

Coach Jake White seems to breathing new life into ACT rugby, even club rugby is feeling the impact- this co insides with our latest lecture topic; sharing and presenting information, he is a prime example of a coach who excels in this aspect teaching...

Just a short one for now, will follow up soon

Thanks!
